Common questions

Do you deliver same day in Perth?

We hold stock in Bibra Lake, so Perth metro orders are dispatched same or next business day rather than freighted over from the eastern states. Delivery time outside the metro area depends on the carrier.

What is the difference between PLA+ and matte PLA?

PLA+ is a toughened PLA with better layer adhesion and impact resistance, finished satin to gloss. Matte PLA trades some of that strength for a uniform matte surface that hides layer lines, so parts read as moulded rather than printed. Both print without an enclosure at a 60°C bed.

Which filament should I use for outdoor parts?

ASA. It carries the strength of ABS but adds real UV stability, so it will not chalk, yellow or go brittle in direct sun. It also holds shape to 96°C, where PETG gives up around 68°C and PLA around 53°C.

Do I need a hardened nozzle for carbon fibre filament?

Yes. The chopped carbon fibre in PLA-CF and PC-CF is abrasive and will wear out a brass nozzle quickly. Run hardened steel. We stock BIQU hardened hotends in 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8mm that drop straight into Bambu Lab A1, A1 Mini and H2D.

How should I dry filament?

Per the Siddament data sheets: PLA, matte PLA, PLA-CF and PETG dry at 50°C for 2 to 4 hours. ASA and PC-CF dry at 80°C for 2 to 4 hours. Polycarbonate picks up moisture fastest, so dry PC-CF before any long print.

Do you offer trade accounts?
